Frequently Asked Eligibility Questions
My percentage is below 45%. Can I still apply?
For SC/ST/PWD of Odisha, the minimum is 40%. For all others, 45% is mandatory. If below this, you are not eligible for OJEE under the normal quota. However, some colleges offer management quota admissions with different criteria — NuaDisha can advise you on alternatives, including our scholarship guidance to reduce fee burden.
My Diploma is from a private polytechnic. Is it valid?
Yes, as long as your polytechnic is recognized by the State Board of Technical Education or AICTE. Degrees from unrecognized institutions are not valid for OJEE.
I did B.Sc in Biology without Mathematics. Am I eligible?
No. OJEE B.Tech Lateral Entry specifically requires Mathematics as one of your B.Sc subjects. Biology-stream graduates without Mathematics are not eligible under Category LE-2.
I'm in my final semester of Diploma. Can I apply?
Yes. Final-semester students can apply provisionally. Once admitted, read our full OJEE counseling guide to navigate the seat allotment rounds. You must submit your final marksheets and passing certificate before the document verification stage.
I'm from another state but living in Odisha. What category am I?
Your domicile is determined by your residence/study record in Odisha, not where your Diploma was from. If you have a valid Odisha domicile certificate, you may qualify for state category seats. Contact NuaDisha for specific guidance — or check our OJEE 2026 application form guide for document requirements.
Can a student who failed a semester in Diploma still apply?
Yes. Individual semester failures don't make you ineligible as long as the overall aggregate is 45% or above and you have completed the Diploma.
